Roof Tiles

The job of building the rooves for the farmhouse and the outbuildings seems neverending im sure it will be worth all the work in the end.

Working on getting the wall colour to look right at the moment, some minor imperfections and joins will be covered with a layer of ivy , probably Silflor.

Warlord games ruined farmhouse

Warlord games ruined farmhouse with the addition of a few roof tiles and some scatter scenery.

Port Royal

I find I am quite often working on multiple projects at once due the fact that some of them are quite large.

Right now I am working on a 6’x4’ table for 28mm Pirate games based around the rules for Legends of the high seas; however it could easily be used for Hordes or War machine.

The table is loosely based on the historical layout for Port Royal in Jamaica with a few changes to make it useable in a wargame; this includes a scale model of Fort Charles. The table is split into 2’x2’ tiles that can be moved about more easily, though I now find with the addition of the permanently attached scenery a couple of them are quite heavy partially the one that includes the fort.

Still some way to go to achieve the finished result I am looking for, there are a lot of small details to be added many of which will not be needed to for a wargame but will look good on the model for display purposes. Most of the Buildings are from (Games of war/pirate supplies) here in the UK, afew of them have been modified.
Fort Charles has been constructed from (Hirst arts) fieldstone bricks mold with the addition of turrets from (Frontline wargaming) and some doors, windows and many other small parts from (Thormarillion).

The final step will be the addition of a resin ocean; I am currently researching the product I want to use.

Marmion's Farm Update

More buildings from Marmion's farm, these are built using foamcore then I am lining the walls with (wills) embossed plasticard, the tiles for the roof are cut out by hand using card, this process takes quite a while but gives a good effect. The widows I managed to aquire from a local model railway shop, they are very close in look to the real ones, though there are differences.

Marmion’s farm

Another of my projects is the first 4’x4’ table for 28mm bolt action this one is portraying Marmion’s farm near Ravenoville in Normandy. This project is in its infancy and still requires tons of work. This scenery will be built modular so the final board will be able to be stored flat and will stand against a wall with all buildings and the bocage pieces removeable.

Introduction

My aim here is to display some of the scale worlds I have created for my war games. These range from single scenery pieces built from kits to whole tables that are scratch built plus everything in between.

I am by no means a professional, just an enthusiastic amateur who enjoys the challenge of building scale scenery.

Where possible I will includes photos of my work in progress and will also include a list of manufactures I have used for some of the parts I couldn’t scratch build or was just too lazy J to do.

I am based in the UK, but the parts come from all over the world  US, China, Germany to name a few, many of which I have modified for my own personal use.
